  3. COMING HOME
    If you are interested in exploring points of intersection between housing insecurity, our faith and scripturethe “Coming Home” Book Study, being offered for Lent on ZOOM on the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula may be a good fit.
    The study is 5 sessions, with each session studying a story or article, and looking at that item in tension with our faith and scriptures.

  9. The Essex Deanery Lay Leadership Training Classes:  Lay leadership courses for 2024.  
    Our classes this year will begin in March.  All are welcome.  There are no tuition costs for these classes but you may be asked to purchase a book if able.  If there is a ministry you feel called to please speak with your Rector. 
    These classes will be held in person at Canterbury CollegeClasses are from 10:00 am - 2:30pm with 30 minutes for lunch.  
    March 23 - Safe Church Training for all who hold a position within the church. This is a mandatory training in the Diocese of Huron
    April 20 - Writing Intercessory Prayers and Creating a Rule of Life. Facilitator the Rev. Robert Clifford, Windsor
    May 25 - Administration.  Facilitator the Rev. Lisa Poultney, Amherstburg
    June 15 - Liturgy. What are the Anglican Liturgies and how to lead a service.  Facilitator the Rev. Canon Dr. Gordon Maitland, Sandwich
    September 21 - Listening to the Call.  What is involved to become a Priest, Priest for Specialized Ministry, Deacon or Lay Reader. Facilitator the Rev. Kimberly Myer, Leamington, Rev. Gilles Haché, Windsor and others TBD

    Al-Ahli Anglican Episcopal Hospital is the oldest hospital in Gaza, founded in 1882 by the Church of England. It receives no funding whatsoever by Hamas (contrary to some reports). PWRDF has transferred the initial $30,000 We have supported this hospital for years as a partner, and are actively accepting donations for Al-Ahli Arab Hospital through the PWRDF Gaza Hospital Appeal.
    How you can help: To support the al-Ahli Arab Hospital during this time of crisis, please donate online to our Gaza Hospital Emergency Appeal. PARISH EVENTS:
 
  1. St. George’s in Goderich has begun our new Messy Church program. We meet the first Sunday of the month, 4-6pm in the community hall. All are welcome! 
  2. St. George's London:  
    The Choral Evensong services will continue on the fourth Sunday of the month:  April 28th and May 26th.  The services begin at 4:00pm.  Please note that there is no service in March. 

  3. St. Mark's, Brantford: Caring for Yourself When You Care for Others, featuring Michelle O’Rourke. Thursday March 21 at 1 pm and 6 pm.
    St. Mark, with funds from the Community Services Recovery Fund,  will be hosting Michelle O'Rourke, Register Nurse. This is a free event. 
    Caregiving can be a very lonely, tiring and exhaustive role for those who care for others. This workshop will help caregivers to reflect not only on their challenges, but also on how caregiving can nourish them, exploring ways to keep themselves healthy in body, mind and spirit. Michelle O’Rourke is a registered nurse with an extensive background in Emergency
    Nursing, Parish Nursing, and Hospice Palliative Care. She is a sought-after speaker and award-winning author of two books on end of life. (for more info visit
